Session E26: The Ethics and Effectiveness of the Expert Witness Presenters: Theodore J. Trauner, P.E., PP, Trauner Consulting Services, Inc. H. James Wulfsburg, Wulfsberg Reese Colvig & Firstman
This session will address the ethics that the expert should practice and that the attorney should expect. The session will also address how the expert in conjunction with the attorney can be most effective when testifying to include preparation and use of visual aids.
Session Objectives:
- Be able to identify the ethical standards of a potential expert.
- Be able to be truly prepared for testimony at trial or arbitration.
- Learn how the expert can most effectively communicate to the judge, jury, or arbitrators.
