Mr. Secretary! Congratulations, Mike Ryan!

In August 2024, Mike Ryan was elected Secretary of the AACEI Claims and Dispute Resolution Subcommittee. His term runs from mid-2024 through mid-2026. Being elected Secretary of the CDR Subcommittee is the first step in the subcommittee’s leadership track. In mid-2026, Mike will become the Subcommittee’s Vice Chair through mid-2028 and then, he will become the Chair from mid-2028 through mid-2030.

Mike has been working with AACEI for many years. His accomplishments include the development of several peer-reviewed papers that were presented at AACEI’s national conference. Mike looks forward to the opportunity to give back to the community that has provided him valuable insight and tools over the past fifteen years.

Per aacei.org, “The AACE International Claims & Dispute Resolution Subcommittee (“CDR Subcommittee”) is a group of professionals and experts actively involved in the preparation, analysis, management, mitigation, and resolution of claims and disputes on projects. The general purpose of the CDR Subcommittee is to provide a neutral, professional forum where professionals involved in the claims and dispute process can meet, discuss, and develop technical content about issues of common interest. These claims-related issues are typically focused on the analyses of schedule delay, disruption, and damages quantification, which also include assessments of entitlement and responsibility.”
